SR-G Series Ball Joints Hardened Steel Housing Retaining Ring Design With Rubber Grommet
Suitable for many applications requiring integral ball joints, the SR-G Series offers many similarities to our metal to metal R-G ball joint design… but with a hardened steel housing and ball stud combination to increase overall wear life. All parts are manufactured from low carbon steel and heat-treated for long life and wear resistance. In addition, they are zinc plated and yellow dichromate treated for corrosion resistance and consistent appearance. The precision ball stud is inserted into the shell and locked in place by a pre-located snap ring allowing for sufficient movement of the ball stud without excessive play. The integrated retaining ring is produced from stress-relieved, galvanized music wire and helps to better retain the ball stud within the hardened body housing. A rubber grommet seal provides for durable contaminant protection. Right and left-handed threads (for metric sizes — consult factory) are available in a variety of configurations.

The S/SS/SC Series Quick Disconnect Ball Joints are engineered for applications requiring rapid assembly and disassembly while maintaining reliable mechanical performance. Available in three distinct styles, these ball joints provide flexible solutions for a wide range of load and connection requirements:
• S Series: Spring-loaded sleeve design, ideal for smaller ball joint sizes.
• SS Series: Exposed spring-loaded sleeve, suitable for larger-sized applications.

S/SS/SC Series "quick disconnect" ball joints are especially effective in applications requiring numerous and/or fast assembly/ disassembly of the ball joint. Ball stud, sleeve and body compo-nents are produced from low carbon steel and are zinc plated and yellow dichromate treated for extended corrosion resistance.

For superior corrosion resistance and a uniform finish, all components are zinc plated and further treated with a yellow dichromate coating. The hardened precision ball is carefully inserted into the housing and secured through a controlled crimping process. This method ensures the ball stud maintains smooth rotational movement while minimizing unwanted play and maintaining structural integrity.
